What is MEMBER’S CHOICE™ GAP?

It is a way to help protect your vehicle loan. Many times a primary insurance settlement does not pay off your loan balance. With GAP, you are helping protect your investment from unexpected life events ranging from a totaled vehicle to theft.

How Does It Work?

A fee can be rolled into your loan up-front or payment can be made separately. If there is a difference in what you owe and the value of your vehicle, GAP helps cancel the difference based on the terms of your agreement.

DMV Change

As of January 05, 2025, PFCU can no longer manually release a lien on titles and hand them over to our members when they pay off their vehicle loans. PFCU must electronically release the lien and have the new title mailed to the owner by the Department of Transportation. After they receive the released title, they can proceed to complete the sale of that vehicle.
