Premier Financial Credit Union Announces New President

The Board of Directors of Premier Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Sara Cardinal, CCUE, CBLP, as President of the credit union, effective as part of a planned leadership transition.

This appointment coincides with the upcoming retirement of Brad Grant, President & CEO, who will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer through his retirement this summer to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.

“Sara has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to our members,” said Brad Grant, CEO. “Throughout this transition, she has shown the skills and dedication necessary to successfully lead Premier Financial Credit Union into the future, and we are confident in her ability to do so.”

Cardinal most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, where she played a key role in advancing the credit union’s lending strategy and member service initiatives. She holds both the Certified Credit Union Executive™ (CCUE) and Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional™ (CBLP) designations from America’s Credit Unions.

With 15 years of service to Premier Financial Credit Union, Cardinal brings deep institutional knowledge, a member-focused approach, and a strong commitment to cooperative values as she steps into her new role as President.

Premier Financial Credit Union is a $128 million credit union with over 9,000 members-owners.  The credit union currently operates offices in New Holstein, Kiel, and Chilton, with a new branch opening in Plymouth in the summer of 2026.
